About Bargain Tire and Wheel Dans

Bargain Tire and Wheel Dans is a tire shop in St. Louis, Missouri. It is listed at 5820 Hampton Ave, St. Louis, MO 63109, which places it among the local businesses of St. Louis that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by.

Tire shops sell and install new tires, patch punctures, balance wheels and, at most locations, align the suspension. Prices are quoted per tire plus mounting, balancing, valve stems and a state disposal fee for the old set; many shops price-match and include free rotation and flat repair for the life of the tire. Used tire shops sell inspected take-offs for a fraction of the price of new ones, useful for an older car or a single replacement, but check the tread depth (4/32 inch or more) and the DOT date code, since rubber ages even on the shelf. Mobile tire services come to your driveway or the roadside, commercial shops handle semi, trailer, farm and off-road tires, and wheel shops repair and refinish bent or curb-scraped rims.

The business lists hours on 7 days of the week. Typical hours are 10 am–5 pm. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. St. Louis is in Missouri, in the Midwest, where summers are warm, winters are cold and snowy, and most errands are done by car; businesses keep steady year-round hours with the usual holiday changes. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and St. Louis follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Shop was fast, employees were friendly, however googled pointed me towards them saying a used tire plus putting it on is usually around $40. That is what I was expecting so when he told me (after the tire was on and I had asked for a specific price to make sure i had enough money) that it was 70 dollars 😳. Just wanted to update Google since apparently its giving wrong info!! Super super disappointing for someone traveling alone for drs appt with very little money... I was sobbing honestly. Sooo if your in a bind and need a cheap used tire dont trust google! πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ

Buyer beware of shady business!!!! I went there last Friday with flat tire still on the rim. The owner quoted me $50 for the used tire. He tried to charge me on the spot for the tire even though I wasn’t interested in paying $50 for it, he was very pushy and I had a bad feeling. While I was inside the shop for about 5 minutes, his worker outside had taken my flat tire off the rim and put on the used tire I had told him I didn’t want. When I questioned him he told me one him $20 for the labor!!! It’s shocking they have decent reviews, I’d be surprised if this is the first person they did this to.

Couldn't recommend more. Been coming here for years for my tire needs and they have always been super helpful, friendly, and very reasonably priced. Wouldn't go anywhere else!

I hate leaving bad reviews, but people should know what they’re walking into here because this place is not what it used to be. I originally bought 4 used tires from this shop for $280 cash. I was told cash only, so I had to go to the ATM and pay extra fees just to complete the deal. After the tires were installed, I noticed the car still wasn’t driving right, so I took it to another shop for an alignment and balance. That shop informed me that 2 of the 4 used tires I had just purchased were bad. That visit cost me another $90 just to find out the tires I was sold were defective. I brought the car back to the original shop, and instead of replacing the bad tires properly, I was told they would β€œcredit” me toward 4 brand new tires. I was told these tires normally cost $560 and that I only had to pay another $280 because of the β€œcredit.” Again, I was pushed to pay cash to β€œavoid sales tax.” I went through the hassle of trying to get cash, only to later find out they could’ve processed the payment another way the whole time. After installation, I was told the tires were balanced. They were not. The car still shakes. Then I looked up the tires myself. They are generic Zenna tires β€” not

Ive used these guys in the past and have always been pleased. I needed 2 tires mounted and balanced. It was $40 a tire which I feel is a little on high side, but 1st try and find a place to mount tires they dont sell you and talk about lighting fast service this place provides it. I do feel like it was worth the $40 all said and done.
